Special Commission

Use Special Commission to record a one-off commission for a customer, for example on an upfront fee. The commission is a percentage of the amount you enter. It goes through an approval and, once fully approved, is paid into the wallet of the person who created it.

To open it: in the left menu, click Finance > Special Commission.

Create a special commission

The Create Special Commission form, with its parts numbered 1 to 7

  1. Back: returns to the list.
  2. Customer (required): choose the customer. You can type to search.
  3. Payment Type (required): for example Upfront Fee or Penalty.
  4. Amount (RM) (required): the amount the commission is worked out from, greater than 0 with up to 2 decimals. You can only type digits and a decimal point. If the amount is 0, you see Please enter a valid amount.
  5. Percentage: filled in from the payment type. You can't change it.
  6. Attachment (optional): click the upload area and choose one PDF, PNG or JPG file of up to 5MB. A larger file is not added, and you see File size must be less than 5MB. Click the bin icon to remove it.
  7. Submit: click it, then Submit again to confirm. You see Special product commission created successfully and return to the list. Click Cancel to leave without saving.

If a required field is empty, it shows This field is required.

The commission is the Amount times the Percentage. For example, an Upfront Fee of RM 1,000 at 20% gives a commission of RM 200.

Approval

A new special commission starts as Pending and goes through two approvals, Layer 1 then Layer 2. The people who can approve each layer get a notification. They approve or reject it on the Approval page.

When both layers approve, the commission is paid into the wallet of the person who created the record, and the Distribute Status becomes Distributed.
